Jolin,a well-known singer now,has issued many personal albums,been covers on many magazines,and spoken for many products on advertisements.She is undoubtedly an acknowledged star.However,behind her success were lots of stories about her hard work.

  Being famous since quite a young age,Jolin has been on air several years ago.Owing to her young age,however,criticisms came after her early fame.Negative news about both her and her family came one after another.What's worse,rumor had it that her figure was made from a secret operation by her private doctor.At that time,people even believed that her achievements came from a special relationship with record company executives.

  Instead of being beat down by the continuous blows,Jolin worked harder.She focused on her practice on dancing and singing which were intended for her new album--Dancer while not making any direct response to the false information spread by opponents who were jealous about her.Even she sprained her ankle in one dancing regiment,she still seriously faced it,keeping working to her best.

  In addition to constant practice,Jolin also tried many new styles.From her first album to the recent one,her style has been changed from pure to mature beauty.It was not until an interview on a magazine that people realized and recognized with her.

  Had it not been for Jolin's determination and perserverance,she might have been replaced with younger singers.Her story goes to show that only perspiration and persistence can bring success.Currently,she still walks at a steady pace and keeps a low profile.Jolin will be  the  brightest star in the near future.

The Principles Of The First Date For Teenagers.

  When it comes to dating,many teenagers will smile embarrassedly owing to the lack of ezperiences of interacting with the opposite sex.Few young lovers in their teens can go steady with each other for a life span.However,we still need to learn how to behave properly when our beloved one asks us out.

  In the first place,before going to your first date,adjust your mood to a steady level.Insead of thinking of the date as a date,take another idea that you are just going to go out with your friend.Therefore,you can take it easy,dress naturally and behave just as usual.

  Second,following basic manners is also essential.Being punctual is the most significant one.Upon seeing him or her,greet just as naturally as you see a friend.Besides,inquire him or her before you make any decision.This will show your respect for him.

  Third,don't talk too much when you have a chat.Listening is the first step to build a stable relationship.In addition,focus on what the other is saying.It is impolite and embarrassing if you concentrate on other things rather than listen to the person who asks for your reply.

  In conclusion,showing respect,behaving properly,and being polite are the three vital principles one should bear in mind when he or she has his or her first date,After all,putting too much emphasis on makeup or clothes is useless for a deep relationship to last for a long time.

基測只考266分

台北市私立延平中學學生張智閑3年前基測成績266分，逼近當年最低錄取分數，高二前曾在班上墊底，高三急起直追，以王建民"投一球是一球的精神"專注準備與應試，今年指考二類組考出433分佳績，可錄取台大電機系，成功戰勝自我。

張智閑回想國中基測時的慘痛經驗，她說，當時太緊張，一看到不會的題目就慌了，連自己有把握的科目都拿不到分，最後只考266分，從原本有機會進前三志願，到差點跌落榜外。

張智閑說，放榜後大哭一場，進入延平後也無心唸書，高一玩社團，高二還曾經為了準備科展，將月考拋腦後，一度成為倒數第一名。

高三頓悟，發憤用功

升上高三，張智閑開始警覺，"三年前已經對不起自己，不能再有第二次!"，為了趕上落後進度，她花比別人多三倍的時間投入課業，而且"一旦開始讀書，就不輕易停下來。"，她可以兩小時"黏"在座位上，不受下課鈴聲打斷，只有回家才徹底放鬆。

由於準備時間有限，面對最弱的英文，她以教育部頒訂的單字本為基礎，反覆背誦6000個單字，透過單字加強，進而提升句子與文章的閱讀能力。

三年後再度進入考場，張智閑仍心情忐忑，但謹記老師叮嚀"妳已經不是三年前的妳了";作答時平常心，像王建民投球般，一題一題專注完成，最後果真發揮實力，她也考慮選填成大醫學系，希望未來當懸壺濟世的好醫師。

沒有什麼不可能的事情，人家延平都考的上，中山墊底也考的上!
